Founded in 2003, Cryotechnica is a high technology manufacturing company based in the UK. The company specialises in the application of superconductivity in high gradient magnetic separation (SHGMS).
The ideology of the company is to utilise maximum and appropriate technology coupled with the application of measurement and a fundamental understanding of the underlying science. Cryotechnica has expertise in new and existing applications of magnetic separation technology such as China Clay improvement, environmental remediation and the extraction of useful materials from mineral tailings. During one such programme the company designed and built one of the first "next generation" superconducting separators incorporating cryogen free technology.
Trading under the banner of Cryotechnica UK Limited, the company has manufacturing facilities in the UK. This factory produces a variety of products including bespoke superconducting magnet systems.
